Returns

At Pearls & Pelicans, we want every piece you order to feel just right. If something isn’t perfect, we’re here to help you process a return or arrange an exchange, as long as your request follows the guidelines below.

Please read this policy carefully before starting your request to ensure a smooth experience.

1. Timing & Initial Inspection

  • You must submit your return or exchange within 7 days of the delivery date (based on the carrier’s tracking).
  • Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. Report any defects, incorrect items, or shipping issues right away.
  • After the 7-day window, normal wear and tear or any damage will be considered your responsibility, and your order will no longer be eligible for returns.

2. How to Start a Return or Exchange Request

Go to our Return My Order page and:

  • Enter your order ID number and email address.
  • Select one of the following options:
    • Refund (back to your original payment method)
    • Exchange (you’ll need to specify the item and size)
  • Use the notes box to share details. For example:
    • For exchanges, clearly state the print and size you want.
    • For defective or incorrect items, include a detailed description of the issue.*
  • Submit your request and wait for approval before sending your item back.

⚠️ Important: Items shipped to us without prior approval will not be processed, and you will forfeit the product and payment.

*For defective/incorrect items: Please also email an image of the defective/incorrect item, along with your order number, to hello@pearlsandpelicans.com.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To be accepted for a return or exchange, your item must:

  • Be unworn and unwashed
  • Have original tags attached and be in original packaging
  • Be free of odors, stains, pet hair, or signs of wear
  • Have been purchased directly from pearlsandpelicans.com 

Final Sale Items:
Items purchased during sales, with discount codes, or through special promotions are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or credited.

4. Preparing & Shipping Your Return

Once your request is approved:

  • You’ll receive the return shipping address and instructions.
  • You are responsible for all shipping costs for returns, exchanges, and the shipment of exchange items back to you.
  • Keep your tracking number. Pearls & Pelicans is not responsible for lost or delayed packages.

5. Processing & Timing

Once we receive and inspect your approved return, we’ll process your request within 7 business days. Here’s what you can expect based on the option you selected:

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued for the item cost only. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Funds are returned to your original payment method.
  • You’ll receive a confirmation email once your refund has been processed.

Exchanges

  • Exchanges are processed after your original item has been received and inspected.
  • Availability is subject to current inventory. If your requested item is unavailable, you will have the option to request a refund instead.
  • If the exchange item costs more than your original order, you’ll be invoiced for the difference.
  • If it costs less, the balance will be issued as store credit.
  • You will be responsible for the shipping price of the exchange item back to you.

6. Defective or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives defective or incorrect:

  • Submit your return request within 7 days of delivery through the Return My Order page.
  • Describe the issue in the notes box.
  • Send an image of the defective or incorrect item, along with your order number, to hello@pearlsandpelicans.com
  • Once verified, we will:
    • Cover the cost of return shipping, and
    • Send a replacement or issue a full refund, including your original shipping fee.

7. Lost, Missing, or Misdelivered Packages

  • Once your order has been scanned by the carrier, Pearls & Pelicans is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misplaced packages.
  • If your order is delivered to an incorrect address due to the address being entered incorrectly at checkout, Pearls & Pelicans cannot be held responsible for replacing or refunding the order.
  • If your package goes missing, you will need to file a claim with the carrier (UPS or USPS).
  • Contact us to confirm which carrier handled your shipment, and we’ll provide the information you need to file your claim.
  • While we can help guide you through the process, all claims must be submitted by the customer.

8. Additional Disclaimers

  • Items sent without approval will not be processed or returned.
  • Items that arrive with wear, wash, missing tags, or other ineligible conditions will not qualify for returns.
  • Items purchased on sale or with discount codes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
  • Pearls & Pelicans reserves the right to refuse any return or exchange if the item fails to meet these requirements.

9. Sizing Reminder

To avoid sizing issues, please review our sizing chart carefully before completing your purchase. If you have questions about sizing or fit, please contact us before placing your order.
